Join us at the Bo Bartlett Center of Columbus State University on Friday, April 12 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM for the 2nd Artisitc Ability Reception and Exhibition.

ARTISTIC ABILITY is an arts based educational outreach program designed exclusively for Adults with Special Needs at the Columbus Intellectual and Developmental Disability (I/DD) Service Center, New Horizons Behavioral Health.

Volunteers and artists/mentors of the Bo Bartlett Center, College of the Arts, Columbus State University, and the Gallery on Tenth have implemented the Project encouraging creativity and self-awareness among the participants.

ARTISTIC ABILITY is the first such collaborative program in the state of Georgia that brings together the arts community and adults with I/DD culminating in a local exhibit of works during the March National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and April National Autism Awareness Month.

The New Horizons Behavioral Health Columbus I/DD Service Center offers structured programs designed to assist individuals in the acquisition, retention or improvement of self-help, socialization, adaptive and vocational/employment skills.  Personal supports such as skill development, recreational and leisure activities are provided in the center and in the community.

ARTISTIC ABILITY is one of 3 outreach programs of the Bo Bartlett Center, College of the Arts, Columbus State University and the first collaborative effort with New Horizons Behavioral Health and the Gallery on Tenth.

The Gallery on Tenth is an art co-op featuring the award-winning work of 23 regional artists.
