Viola and Joshua's Testimony

Today's #TestimonialTuesday is on Viola and her son, Joshua!
After Joshua was diagnosed with Autism a year ago, Viola began researching different resources that could help her family navigate the new journey ahead of them. That is when she found our I/DD Family Support Program, which assists families with a member with an intellectual or developmental disability for a wide array of services and goods.
"It did seem too good to be true," Viola says. "But I gave it a try and after that it has been easy. Now I am a huge promoter of it."
The I/DD Family Support Program is not income-based and helps bridge-the-gap by offering resources that are not covered by insurance or offered in schools. For Viola and Joshua, it has brought them opportunities for horse therapy, swimming, and going to fun gyms.
"He's learned so much confidence being involved in these activities," Viola says.
One thing Viola wants the public to know about Family Support is that there's no catch to be involved. We are thankful to serve her family among the many others involved in our program, and are currently accepting new applicants!
